Artists at Site Transitoire
Photographic exhibition of performances inspired by the monumental work
The “Site Transitoire”, a monumental sculpture by Jean-Paul Philippe located in the heart of the Crete Senesi, celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Over the past three decades, the work has served as a meeting point between art, nature, and community, becoming a place of reflection and inspiration.
Throughout the years, the site has hosted numerous artistic events featuring creators from various disciplines. Among these, the collaboration with director and choreographer Alessandra Rey has given life to performances that made the stones “speak,” weaving a dialogue between sculpture, dance, music, and poetry.
The photographs, on display at the workshop, capture some of these moments of grace, which have left an indelible mark on collective memory. To mark its 30th anniversary, the association has decided to reopen the photographic archive and shed new light on some of the most meaningful moments from events dedicated to the site. This initiative aims to celebrate the unique history of the Site Transitoire and the people who have supported and nurtured it with their work, their art, and their passion.
