SERRAND’ART 2025
A project on the theme: Lauretana, ancient route of Artists, Merchants, and Pilgrims
In the heart of Asciano, along the historic Lauretana Road, a project is born that unites art, community, and hope. The idea is simple yet powerful: to paint the shutters of closed shops, transforming what appears lifeless into works of beauty and living memory.
It is a gesture of rebirth, a way to give new meaning to what time and circumstances have left in the shadows, awaiting new opportunities.
The chosen theme, the Lauretana Road, has long been a vital thread through our community—once a route for trade, pilgrimage, and a meeting point for artists and travelers heading to Siena, Loreto, and the Adriatic coast. Traces of this history still lie hidden in the stones of the road and its buildings, echoing the footsteps of those who left a lasting mark on our land.
But Serrand'Art is not just an artistic project. It is also a social initiative, born from the collaboration of associations, citizens, and volunteers who have chosen to offer their time and love for our village.
