Pink Steps along the Via Lauretana
Walk for prevention in support of LILT Siena (Italian League for the Fight Against Cancer)
A walk that brings together history, landscape, and solidarity.
“Pink Steps along the Via Lauretana” is much more than a simple walk: it is a concrete gesture of support for LILT Siena (Italian League for the Fight Against Cancer) and for prevention, through the strength of the community.Participants will walk along the historic Via Lauretana, an ancient road that for centuries connected Siena to the Valdichiana and important pilgrimage sites.
A route rich in scenery, culture, and memory, becoming a symbol of unity and participation.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, March 22!Program:
- 8:45 AM – Meeting point at Circolo di Casetta (Siena)
- 9:00 AM – Departure from Casetta to the Via Lauretana through the Crete
- 10:00 AM – Arrival at the Medane junction on the Via Lauretana
- 10:30 AM – Unveiling of a commemorative bench and plaque, testimonies and speeches by local authorities
- 11:00 AM – Refreshments
- 11:30 AM – Departure back to Casetta, arrival at 12:30 PM
Closing greetings and end of the event
Duration: approximately 5 km, easy route
Participation kit: provided to each walker at departure with a contribution of €20
