Feast of our Lady of Grace
Religious and cultural celebrations in the heart of Asciano
One of the most cherished and well-attended events in our community is back: the Celebrations in honor of Our Lady of Grace—a moment of faith, culture, and togetherness that brings together generations in the heart of our village.
An opportunity to gather in prayer, to celebrate an ancient devotion, and to honor the rich artistic and spiritual heritage preserved in Asciano.
The celebrations will take place at the Church of Sant’Agostino in Asciano.
Program
Thursday 28th, Friday 29th, and Saturday 30th August
6:00 PM – Triduum in Preparation for the Feast
Three days dedicated to reflection and prayer, in preparation for the solemn celebration. A shared spiritual journey, guided by liturgical moments, to accompany the faithful toward the heart of the feast.
Sunday 31st August
10:00 AM – Guided Tour of the Palazzo Corboli Museum
A unique opportunity to admire the original panel painting of Our Lady of Grace, a precious work of art that tells the story and spirituality of our land. A guide will lead participants in discovering its beauty and significance.11:00 AM – Holy Mass
Morning Eucharistic celebration at the Church of Sant’Agostino, open to all who wish to take part in a quiet, intimate liturgical moment.6:00 PM – Solemn Mass and Blessing of the Children
The central event of the celebration. The Solemn Mass will be attended by local civil and military authorities, representatives of the Contrade and associations, and the entire community.
Children and young people who have received the sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation during the year will be present, along with their catechists and the youth from the Misericordia Summer Camp.At the end of the Mass, a special blessing will be given to the children, entrusting them to the protection of Our Lady of Grace.
To conclude the celebrations, the traditional concert by the “G. Verdi” Philharmonic Society of Asciano will be held—an event that unites music and tradition in the heart of the town.
An aperitif offered by the Confraternity of Misericordia will follow.
